On Bravery 「論勇敢」 We often do not take much notice of the people around us who on public service jobs. These people are train station workers, airline stewardess, firemen, policemen, bus drivers, taxi drivers and soldiers. Only during some accident these people are then the first ones to come to our aid and sometimes at the risk of their own lives. Recently, I saw a big fire in a ten-story apartment house where firemen worked under great danger. Luckily in this case no one was hurt. Each of us have within us the essence of bravery available on our everyday job, or just going to school, or at home. Soldiers are called to show bravery in defending their country from aggression. Sometimes during a national disaster such as an earthquake or typhoon soldiers are called to help show bravery and strength.。

Do Not Lose Courage
Courage is very important. Everyone needs it. We will meet many difficulties in our life and sometimes we will fail, but we can't lose courage. If we lose courage, we can't do anything, because we don't dare to do anything; we are afraid of failure. This is my Chinese teacher me in the first class. I agree with him. For example, we don't have the courage to hands up to say our answer, how can we know we are right or wrong. I will remember his word forever,” never lose courage .”
The Three Little Pigs Once upon a time there were three little pigs who went out into the worle to seek theri fortune. The first little pig set off through the fields. There he met a man carrying a bundle of straw. "Please, man,"said the little pig,"will you give me some straw so that I can build myself a straw house. In a little while a wolf came along and knocked on the door. "Little pig, little pig,"said the wolf,"let me come in. "On,no,"said the little pig. "Then i will blow your house down,"said the wolf. And he blew the house down and ate up the little pig. The second little pig went up the hill to the woods. There he met a man carrying a bundle of sticks. "Please, man,"said the little pig,"will you give me some sticks so that I can build my self a house?" "As many as you need, little pig,"said the man. The man gave some sticks to the little pig, and the little pig built herself a wooden house. In a little while the wolf came along and knocked on the door. "Little pig, little pig,"saidthe wolf,"let me come in." "On,no,I will not let you in."said the little pig. "Then i will blow your house down," snarled the wolf. And he blew the house down and ate up the second little pig. The third little pig skipped down the lane towards the town.On the way he met a man carrying a load of bricks. "Please, man,"said the little pig,"will you give me some bricks so that I can build myself a house?" "As many as you need, little pig,"said the man. He gave some bricks to the little pig, and the little pig built herself a brick house. No sooner had the little pig settled into his new home than the wolf came along and knocked at the door. "Little pig, little pig,"saidthe wolf,"let me come in." "On,no,I will not let you in."said the little pig. "Then I will blow your house down,"toated the wolf. And he huffed and he puffed but he could not blow down the strong little brick house. Then the wolf was angry. He jumped on to the roof and shouted, "Little pig, I an coming down the chimney and I am going to eat you up for my dinner!!" But the little pig was ready for the wolf. He had a bigpot of water boiling on the fire, and he lifted the led and the wolf fell right into the pot. Then the little pig slammed the lid on again, and that was the end of the wolf. And the little pig lived safe and sung in his little brick house for the rest of his life. (The end)。
On Courage
Hemingway often thought of courage as a person's ability to be calm and controlled in the face of death. His theme is presented in his novel "For Whom the Bell Tolls?" the story "The Old Man and the Sea" and in our textbook "A Day's Wait". By misunderstanding a different thermometer the boy thought he was running a high fever and would soon die. But he took his death bravely and waited quietly for it. The boy showed us he had courage.
I think such a definition of courage is far from enough. Courage should not be limited and related only to death. In ordinary life there are common things that also show a person's courage. For example, on a bus trip, a thief was trying to steal a girl's purse. Some people saw it, but kept quiet. They were afraid to be revenged by the thief. The brave stood out and stopped the thief.
Courage means truth and justice to me. The person in a high position often hear songs in praise of him. Some people are sincere. Some are only flattering the superior in their own favor. The leader also needs courage to welcome criticism as well as those who have the courage to criticize him. Such courage may come from mutual understanding. I think a man of courage will value truth and justice, and not hesitate in his actions to do what he thinks is right, There is no such word as fear in his dictionary.

The failure is the mother of success. But how many people are actually able to grasp the mystery?General speaking, people are afraid of failure. What should we fail to face? The key issues were to fail.We understand and transform the world, the defeat was inevitable.Brave in face of failure is the only correct way to success of our guide. We can sum up the lesson from failure. After many mistakes, we should be close to success and believe that failure is only temporary. The failure of the people tend to be alone, around on his support, even a comforting word, can add to his great power. In a word, failure are not terrible. Horrible is you don't have the courage to face defeat feeling!。

Never shall I forget the first English lesson given by MiLiu.On that day, when she entered the classroom, we found that she was a young and beautiful lady with a big smile on her face. Then she introduced herself saying that we should call her MiLiu instead of Teacher Liu, a moment later, she let all of us go to the blackboard and say something about ourselves in English in turn. When it was my turn, I felt so shy and fearful that I didn't dare to say a word before the class. She came up to me and said kindly, “Don't be afraid. I believe you can do it. Come and have a try.” My face turned red when I heard that. At last, I went to the blackboard and was able to do it quite well. She praised for what I had done. Up to now, I can still remember her words in the first English lesson: “Practice makes perfect. Don't lose your courage when you meet with difficulties. Try on and on until you succeed.”Don't Lose Your CourageNever shall I forget the first English lesson given by MiLiu. But few people can really understand what the saying means. In the world, I am sure that no one dare say he hasn't met any trouble all his life. So we must face failure. In fact, failure is not fearful, but important thing is how to face it correctly. Facing failure, people will never take their fate lying down. They will try their best to work harder and harder until at last they succeed. Not being courageous to face setbacks, people have no chance to enjoy the pleasure of success. So they have nothing to do but feel sad and empty all day and all night. In fact, they lose the chance of succethemselves. My friend, whenever in trouble, please remember, "Failure is the mother of success."。
