中國(guó)野生動(dòng)物保護(hù)協(xié)會(huì)(CWCA)是一個(gè)具有廣泛代表性的野生動(dòng)物保護(hù)組織，于1983年12月在北京成立，是中國(guó)科協(xié)所屬全國(guó)性社會(huì)團(tuán)體，常設(shè)辦事機(jī)構(gòu)為秘書(shū)處，行政上受?chē)?guó)家林業(yè)局領(lǐng)導(dǎo)野生動(dòng)物保護(hù)組織。到2010年底，中國(guó)已擁有省、地、市、縣級(jí)協(xié)會(huì)773個(gè)，擁有會(huì)員36萬(wàn)多人，它是由野生動(dòng)物保護(hù)管理、科研教育、馴養(yǎng)繁殖、自然保護(hù)區(qū)工作者和廣大野生動(dòng)物愛(ài)好者組成的群眾團(tuán)體，其宗旨是推動(dòng)中國(guó)野生動(dòng)物保護(hù)事業(yè)的發(fā)展，為保護(hù)、拯救瀕危、珍稀動(dòng)物作出貢 獻(xiàn)。其主要任務(wù)是：組織會(huì)員貫徹國(guó)家保護(hù)野生動(dòng)物的方針、法令，開(kāi)展拯救和保護(hù)珍稀野生動(dòng)物的宣傳教育，開(kāi)展保護(hù)野生動(dòng)物的科學(xué)研究、學(xué) 術(shù)交流，提供經(jīng)營(yíng)管理野生動(dòng)物資源的技術(shù)業(yè)務(wù)咨詢(xún)，籌募保護(hù)野生動(dòng)物的資金，同各國(guó)自然保護(hù)組織和機(jī)構(gòu)建立聯(lián)系，參與有關(guān)國(guó)際合作與交流。

International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) is committed to worldwide by reducing commercial exploitation and trade of wild animals, protect habitat and help in crisis and suffering in animals to improve the welfare of wild and companion animals. IFAW actively seeking ways to solicit public participation, to stop the cruel abuse of animals, people and government institutions to promote the harmonious coexistence of animal welfare and animal protection policies.
