An Unforgettable Summer Many people often mention the fact that everyone in their life time will have an unforgettable summer. Well, this seemed plausible after the summer I spent in Seoul, Korea. This trip is thus far the best summer in my lifetime that I have ever had the opportunity to be a part of. I remember from the first meeting spot for my own delegation in Portland, Oregon; how I came to meet new people from all around the United States. The trip was off to a success ever since we left for Korea from the Portland Airport and my adventure was underway. I love flying, but I gained new meaning when the initial flight took about 13 hours. However, this was great because it gave many people from my delegation to mingle together and become better acquainted with one another. I know for me it helped tremendously because I am a demure person at times, so as the flight progressed I grew more comfortable with everyone. As my memory begins to extend even further I distinctly remember arriving at the Seoul Airport where we were befriended by some fellow residents of Korea involved with the Science Festival. As the first week was underway it was an incredible feeling as I interacted with many people from other countries and observed science lectures, and presentations. I remember seeing some excellent projects that were amonngst my own as we participated in the student presentation portion of the festival. One great moment for me was the talent show, where many countries presented themselves as a cultural representative of their native land. I remember I was supposed to perform in addition to presenting my science research report, but there was not enough time for every single person to perform, so I could not showcase my vocal talent. However, one day we took a fieldtrip to one of the Seoul high schools and there were various people on the chartered bus from different countries, so people start singing karokee on the machine that was on the bus. So needless to say I did my own rendition of a popular American song and I was surprised to see the huge reaction out of everyone because so many people knew the song and cheered along. Many people also loved the fact that I sang it without the music because I performed it acapella. There is just so much that occured that summer, which is only memorable to me because I experienced it firsthand. I do enjoy the fact that I gained friends ranging from Korea, to New Zealand, to many others around the States. This was the first real test for me when discussing culture shock, but I victored over this factor as I managed to interact with so many of the guests. As a whole my life has changed because of this trip because I try not to limit myself now in knowing what the world has to offer from different cultures of people to learn about to the advancement in technology around the world. After I got back I vowed to myself that I would use this experience for my personal statement once I applied to college and this I finally did a few months ago. Soon I will be attending the University of California, Los Angeles where I know I will enjoy getting to know many more people on the diverse campus, just as I did two years ago with the diverse group I met over in Korea. I am currently still in contact with people I met over that summer in Korea and I truly can say, "this is my most unforgettable summer" and I am grateful for this opportunity that I have experienced.。
An Unforgettable Day
Today is Sunday. My whole family had an unforgettable day.
We went shopping together. We bought many things, such as lollipops, ice creams, cornflakes, oranges, milk and bread. Besides, my mother bought many toys for me. I liked them very much.
After that we went to the zoo. I saw many animals. The monkeys were very interesting, the lions were very fearful, and the hamsters were very cute.
We had our lunch under a big tree. My father told us some jokes. They were very funny.
We had a wonderful and unforgettable day.

An Unforgettable DAY
I'm a girl at the age of twelve and in grade six.As our grade six students have to attend the secondary school entrance exam a year later, we have to go to school to take part in the self-study at night.Considering the distance of my home to school, my father decided to teach me ride bikes.
It was a Saturday morning. My father told the key point to ride a bike at first. It was be brave and look forward instead of looking the wheels. My father held me and the bike firmly and then I ride it.Though I was afraid, I feel safe with my father around me.A few hours later, I can ride it without my father's help.I was so happy, but my father was covered with sweat.I never fell off the bike with his protection.Watching my sweating father, I can feel his love for me.
Learning to ride a bike is such a memerable thing that I' m only master it but also understand the love of my father.
Something interesting happened yesterday On my way home from my shopping, I noticed a fire. I called the fire department immediately. In a few minutes, the fire fighters came and started work. But, it was not easy to put out the fire, because there was not enough water. In addition, the wind was high, which made the situation worse. The fire fighters were doing their best. But, all of a sudden, a foreign lady rushed to the fire fighters for help. She was talking quickly in English and made lots of gestures to show the fire fighters what was happening. But, the fire fighters could not understand what she was saying. They tried to call the fire station for an interpeter. But, the lady started crying. I waved to her and asked her what had happened. She was very excited to see someone speaking her language. She told me her baby was in her bedroom on the second floor. I told the fire fighters right away and they sent one man there by a high ladder. Her baby was rescued and the lady gave me a big hug. I felt excited because I made use of my English learnt from my school.。
It was a sunny balmy afternoon at the end of a leisurely summer. I was driving on a winding country road with a lady friend. Little did I know that I was to have a close call that would have almost ruined the rest of my life. Earlier that day, a friend called me to tell me that our mutual friend Rosy was arriving back from Taiwan after the summer holidays. Since there was no airport in the immediate vicinity of the university, she would need a ride to come back on campus. Being mildly interested in that girl, I jumped at the chance to play hero. The trip was not particular long or arduous. I was to pick her up from a friend's home that was a mere 80 miles from campus―a piece of cake, I said to myself. Everything went well. The country road was almost deserted. Visibility was good and I was not driving very fast. The conversation was lively but not distracting. About half an hour into the drive, I rounded a corner and noticed two small children, aged around 10, waiting to cross the road after getting off their school bus. My mind was not particularly focused on them because I thought they would not cross the road when a truck was coming through on their side. The two kids looked to their left, watching the truck intensely. As soon as the truck passed, and without a thought, they started to dash across the road. I was petrified, to say the least. My heart almost leaped out of my throat. Time seemed to have come to a standstill. It was like a nightmare coming into reality. I felt I was in the slow motion crash scene of a movie. I did not even have the time to brake or steer clear. By providence smiled on me that day. The two kids missed my car by less than an inch. Imagine what would have happened if I had hit them? They would have been killed instantly. I would have been charged with manslaughter and thrown into jail. My career would be over before it even got started. The kind of inhumane treatment I would receive from fellow inmate, I could only guess but hate to imagine. I will never be a whole person again even if I were to be released early for good behavior. My life would be over. Even if I had a good lawyer that could have gotten me off, I would have carried that guilt in my mind for the rest of my life. Even today, thirty-six years later, the memory of that day is still fresh on my mind. I have my lucky star to thank for having both parties gotten off unscathed.^ ^希望對(duì)你有些幫助~。
